Wouldn't take the first ten commands. Then the paper feed. I rarely get so explicit with titles, but this worthless thing really makes me mad.It worked for about two months, then started dying. The scanner went first-and it was never good to begin with. Honestly, I have never even been able to run the ink out of the original cartridges. It never worked that long.
The copy quality was poor. And with my luck, the very fragile cord/wire that enabled the slots to move back and forth broke. The scan quality was poor. The print quality was poor. I purchased this printer because I wanted something multifunctional (print, scan, copy) and inexpensive. I will never purchase a Canon printer again. I had to stick my hand inside the printer to stop the slots from moving, getting ink all over my hands. There wasn't a function to let you change the cartridges, so the slots which held the cartridges moved back and forth.
So that's exactly what I did. I would have to repeatedly hit the scan button, unplug and re-plug it and NOTHING. Well, I certainly got what I paid for. I went to Best Buy to see if they could fix it and the salesperson suggested I just throw the printer away because it wasn't worth fixing it. I think the scanner was the worst part, because only on occasion did it actually work. It froze often, had many paper jams and changing the ink cartridges was a real hassle. Oh and the ink cartridges are pretty expensive for such a poor quality machine. You're better off spending a bit poor money for a good quality printer.
This is an exceptional value for the money. It performs better than expected with easy to follow instructions on setup. The Canon Pixma MP470 Photo All-In-One Inkjet Printer (2177B002) is perfect for small or big jobs.I would highly recommend for personal and small business use.
With this you can enable/disable combinations of which cartridge you want to use.I've also printed a couple pictures and they turn out beautifully.I've been through many inkjet printers and this has been the best one yet. I also like the printer properties/settings.
My fiance bought it for me as my birthday present in July. At first the functions can be a bit tricky to use.
I've had this printer for almost a year now. This printer and all the functions are VERY simple to use as long as you think simply.
To scan or copy you have to push the black AND color buttons together to start a scan or copy. For a while I had very frustrating moments with it not knowing what was going on.
With other printers I've had, if either color or black cartridge ran out I would not be able to print. I'm thinking about buying one for my mom and sister who frequently need a copier.
Never jammed, the cartridges that came with the printer lasted all these months for a light home use. Used this for more than six months. Works great. The reason for the three stars is that the refill ink costs around 45 bucks. I would have rated this five stars if the refills original/generic were available for 15-20 bucks.
